Year 7 Maths

Dear Parents and Guardians

Term One has been a big challenge for Year Seven students; in terms of adapting to secondary schooling and also to new Maths contents. Coordinators presented a presentation about secondary school life first week of term; explaining the rules and expectations for students. Overall, students did very well and completed all given tasks. Students contributed in class and asked questions where necessary.

We did dabbing competitions with the boys and celebrated Saad’s birthday in class. Girls were contributing during DEAR time reading their books everyday for 15 minutes. I would like to congratulate Ahmed Ibisivec, Kaylan Bilal, Nure Fahad and Sarah Chowdhury-Pearce for their great results in Maths. Well done!

This year, there will not be a Maths examination, instead students will have project or problem solving assignments. Students are working hard to finish their projects on time.

Mr Yasin is also coming into our classes as a teacher’s aide. Students work together and ask questions of Mr. Yasin without any hesitation.
